Overview and Challenges

EnviroVantage self-performed abatement, demolition, and disposal of this building on the Gould Island pier. The structure was built pre-1950’s and had been left to the severe coastal conditions of mother nature for many years.

Island work provides a unique set of challenges including delivering equipment and personnel to the site, stringent environmental protections, and loading out hazardous and demolition waste materials.

The demolition on this project took place from the New England fall, through winter, and into spring which meant significant and quickly changing weather conditions. We have significant experience working in these conditions and despite the challenges, our team was able to quickly adapt the schedule to address weather delays.
